To reiterate...
The underlying point is that VFP has always been behind the curve, at least as far as VS and Windows Programming is concerned. In other aspects, VFP has been ahead of the curve.
Unfortunately, where VFP has been ahead of the curve has a lower perceived value in the world at large. Specifically, being a tool that is better geared toward windows app development has a higher value than having a better OO implementation.
