I have a Candidate Key that I am using to trap duplicates. The error 1884 - "Uniqueness of index is violated." is the error that will occur if a duplicate is entered. I have a simple on error routine that was loaded with on error do errortrap. It should trap this error but it never fires. To debug this problem I put a set step on ast the first line in my errortrap program but all I get is the standard error 1884. Is there some trick here? When I try to use a non-existant file my errortrap program runs.
