It seems that VFPers are not interested in .NET/CLR yet

Hello David and all,

Re: COM interop. You're right that we have no complete data on calling VFP components from VB/C# taking in count that this is a pre-Beta product. In our trials here the results are showing that it works well. When the time is right, please send us us feedback on how it works in the Betas to make sure that we have real cases of performance degradation in specific scenarios and fix them.

Just wanted to bring up the other side of calling VFP components that you guys don't talk about too much: web services. If you expose your VFP components as web services then the CLR will never treat them as COM components. You have the web server where the component is called sending out XML and responding to an http method call. The CLR will consume and process XML and not talk to COM. Again, we have no complete data on performance in that scenario but we believe it will be a key way for VFP developers to expose components in .NET apps.

I've been reading the feedback and it's great. Please keep it rolling. It was nice to talk to many of you at DevCon.
