VFP6 SP4 Win98Se on WinNT network

Can someone explain this to me? Tell me were to look. Click on New, properties page displays blank as expected. Enter data and click on save. List page redisplays with the new record. Close Form. Return to the same menu and form. The new record is not there. Nor is it in the base table. No one else is working on these tables -- I am the only developer. My first thought was that the view was hosed so I built a scratch form and tested it with same dataenvironment, all works as expected. I'm certainly at a loss.
