Really, whats the big deal about NET? I mean when you get down to its all about remote procedure calls and using XML as the messenger. You can do the same thing right now with XMLHTTP, a couple of lines of ASP code, a VFP server and some client side script. You can even cache data on the client and bind it to DHTML controls for the look and feel of a desktop app.
