I haven't tested this yet, but I asked about it without a for sure answer yet. But, I don't see why you couldn't open up the DBC as a table in 6.0 and just hack it to set the version back and then make it accessible again.

This seems like an easy enough thing to do for someone wanting to get around your events. Has anyone tested that yet?
