You might try a custom autofilter.

Select the entire 'Class' column.
From the menu click Data|Filter|Autofilter
This puts a little down button in your class column.

Click this down arrow. Choose Custom.
Fill in two conditions using the And operator.

ie:
does not equal | Tax
AND
does not equal | Total
