Hi Jim:

I'm using MSCOMM32 for a program that is controled by a TV Remote(IR). An IR receiver connected to my serial port captures the IR signal from the Remote. I am able to read the IR signal from the serial port using MSCOMM32 without a hitch.

The MSCOMM32 COMMEVENT works great - you won't have to poll the serial port.
