Robert;
A few questions come to mind.
1. How many records and how many tables are involved?
2. User selections - date ranges, company names, account numbers?
In my class library I have a report class that allows me to drop objects on a form, set a few properties, write a SQL statement, and the result set appears in a grid. The user can then preview or print a report based upon his/her selections.
What ever you want to do should be driven by the users needs and from there you can create an interface with any required behavior. If you would like any suggestions let us have a few more details.
Tom
