Hi!

This control have such thing as 'current selection'. This have sense for all properties you mentioned - when you want to change something, you need to change it for current selection. By such way mentioned by you buttons work. Where're these properties? Well, They're just in control:

SelAlignment
SelBold
SelFontName
SelFontSize
SelItalic
SelUnderline
Sel* && some other might be useful too
You will need to make your own buttons and fonts combobox, however. We made all above an it works...
