I'm trying to get a handle on what sort of NET service I might want to subclass so I can assess how/whether it matters to me.

Otherwise it's a bit like the tyres on my car- when I bought it I had two options, one of which recommended that I inflate the tyres to a few lbs higher pressure if I would be driving for extended periods at more than 225 kph, and a second option where you did not have to. My answer, in view of the fact that 225 kph is twice the legal speed limit round here, was that I wanted "the cheapest". In other words in terms of my use it did not matter though in technical terms I am sure one option is much better than the other.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
