Yea, I know what you saying but the reason I wanted to use the DISTINCT is cause like that I will have a cursor of 600 as opposed to 270,000 when I do a SELECT * ( I have to SCAN this cursor afterwards)
In fact I just run a SELECT * and so far it took 12 min. with 276,751 row(s)
So I guess if there is not other way I will have to bring this cursor with as many records and then do a DISTINCT locally.
