What's really strange is that MS already has a great view designer. Have you ever used SQL7 Enterprise Manager's view designer? The screen is devided into 4 panes. The first is graphical similar to VFP and Access , the second is a grid containg several options such as field Alias, selection criteria. The third pane shows the SQL command and the fourth shows the result set. It's a real master piece. Change any parameter in any of the 3 panes and the other reflect the changes immediately. It's a perfect 3-way tool! Also, the designer creates sequential JOINs rather than nested.

One would think that it shouldn't be too hard to port this to VFP...

In the mean time I'm really glad we have eView. It's a great tool!
