1. Make sure the 2.6a runtime has been patched for high-speed computers.

2. If you can, rebuild the .EXE on a machine where the FP Temp files are directed to C: rather than some other drive (in CONFIG.FP).

If you can't do 2), one workaround is to insert media into all removable devices (e.g. Zip, CD-ROM, CDRW, DVD). They can be removed once the .EXE starts.
