I invite every VB programmers to have a look at my report (and specially the "Conference Day 3" which talks exclusively about VS.Net if you can't read it all).

VS.Net is not simple update like VB5 to VB6. It is a completely new architecture to build Windows and Web applications. I really beleive in this new version but be advised that a lot of works will have to be done by you in order to use the new features correctly.
