It's fairly complex - you really need to write a parser using tools like lex and yacc to handle this. Christof's STRUCT creates a mappable string expression that could reflect part of the typedef syntax, so that's a possible approach; VB's structure, which is far richer than what we have, doesn't auto-map typedefs, and presents far fewer problems.
