That at least takes the worry away about the code running on some machines and bombing on others. Unless you can think of something that I can do to correct the problem while I'm in development mode, I'll just have to code around it.

This is, of course, probably "The Mother of all SWAGs", but it seems to be borne out by what your seeing. The solution would be to re-install for Win2K. (I know, you were hoping I'd say anything but that). Naturally, there's nothing to say say that it'll work, and if it doesn't I wouldn't be surprised in the least. However, I can't think of anything else that'll explain it.

>Now if Ed Rauh jumps in here, yelling "No! No! No! That won't work!" listen to him not me. He knows a helluva lot more about processes and their environments than I do, and as a penance, I'll be happy to bring him a
shrubbery.:-)

"Ahhh. And who is this man of science?" I see that you are also in search of the Holy Grail :-)>>>>>

Past experience makes me cringe at the thought of re-installing Windows. A thousand settings will have to be reset that I have long since forgotten all about or even what they mean. Although this problem seems to be minor I am worried that it may have other implications that I am not aware of so I don't know if I should just ignore it or try to find the fix. Like "killer rabits"; the problem may not look that dangerious at first glance but then.... I'll have to ponder this for a bit.

I really appreciate all of the help.
