>Have you tried another component? Have you ensured that IUSR account has the rights to instanciate the component you're working with (DCOMCNFG)?

I replaced "VisualFoxPro" with "Word" in the script and got the same result. I replaced "Word" with "qwer" and it said something like "createobject failed" as expected.

My IUSR account is actually IUSR_mymachinename and we noticed that it was the wrong machine number. We changed it to the right one, but that didn't matter because the "anonymous access name" for the virtual directories matched the IUSR name in Win NT security anyway. "Everyone" had "Full control" on the physical folders. We added IUSR_mymachinename to these folders and gave him "read" rights which I am told also allows execute rights. We did this for the physical folder containing the script and also the folder containing vfp6.exe.

We changed the phrase "IIS://LOCALHOST/W3SVC/1/ROOT" to "IIS://LOCALHOST/W3SVC". I noticed that the AspAllowOutOfProcComponents property of this object was still False. We changed it to True. We get the same error.

Sometimes after changing something or other, I try running the script and it eventually times out without doing anything. That is a new problem from just today.

I'm not sure what you are suggesting regarding DCOMCNFG.

Thanks for your patience. Any more suggestions?
