Thanks, that worked. But I have to find a way so I don't get prompted to save the file (SET SAFETY OFF doesn't work in this case) when I issue "quit". I tried to record a macro and look at the VB code, but it doesn't give me anything. Basically I'm putting data into a spreadsheet and running some Excel functions, but never opening Excel itself (it's all done in the backround). I just return the results to the VFP form. Any ideas?
