Hi Roxanne....

The VFP function diskspace() will return a -1 if there is a proplem with the drive that you request info on.

So then,

If diskspace("a:") = -1
something is wrong....
else
go for it...
endif

You might play around with it from the command window to make sure it will meet your needs.
