>>>Software Product. Microsoft grants to you as an individual, a personal, nonexclusive license to make and use copies of the SOFTWARE for the sole purposes of designing, developing, and testing your software product(s). Except as provided in Section 2(a), you may install copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT on an unlimited number of computers provided that you are the only individual using the SOFTWARE PRODUCT. If you are an entity, Microsoft grants you the right to designate one individual within your organization to have the right to use the SOFTWARE PRODUCT in the manner provided above.

>>>Section 2(a) covers Academic Edition Software. The key to this is the part that says "on an unlimited number of computers provided that you are the only individual using the SOFTWARE PRODUCT." As long as you're the only using it you can put on computers ad infinitum.

>Is there a difference between the license of VFP3.0 and VFP 5.0? At my company we have 3.0 which we install from a network install routine. I'm told are license will not allow us to take a copy home. We are upgrading to 5.0, which will be installed on our office PC directly from the install CD.

It sounds like your company has a network-installation agreement with MS, which would differ from the agreement on the individually puchased CD. The corporate agreement would probably include not installing copies off the network.
