Vin
Well, that makes perfectly good sense!
I would not advocate learning VB by looking for an equivalent command and trying to replicate "the VFP way". But re-doing stuff in a new environment isn't a bad way to start to assess the differences in the development environment. A few good books allow more rapid progress.
Having made the move to Java previously, I'd say that the differences between VFP and VB are comparitively trivial- the only one that gets me is the "then" and with intellisense I get pulled up quickly so it doesn't matter...

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
