I don't think it works so. Personally I think that all those VFP is dead rumours are started by mis-informed managers who do not know anything about the latest versions of VFP. But since they know it from the Foxbase, FoxPro 2.6 days they might think since it is on the market for such a long time, it could not be up-to date.
By giving VFP a new name those foolish managers can't draw the link inmediately and won't start those rumours anymore. Also if MS changes the name, would it not be likely that there will be a next version ?
Just wondering.
