>I am trying without success to define a grid as transparent. I would like no background color. When I am doing this, setting the background as transparent for each control within the grid, it reacted by putting only the current active control transparent. When I go to another control, the transparency change to this control.

Try to use 'Sparse=.F.' for column. This will tell VFP that control need to be painted for EACH column. By default (Sparse=.T.) VFP paints only currect row control, other rows painted by grid as simple text using column properties.

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
