Is there any way to drive a Progress Bar while performing a SQLExec() statement?

Help indicates that "SQLEXEC( ) returns 0 if it is still executing and returns 1 when it has finished executing. SQLEXEC( ) returns –1 if a connection level error occurs."

The implicattion is something like the following might work:
Do SqlExec() = 0

EndDo

But that is not the case. Your thoughts sir.
