>I have this client who's thinking about rewriting a system in Fox 5 or 6. The system is currently in Access. Now I would love to see this happen becuase I am much more comfortable in Fox. But I'm not sure what reasons I can give them to give them that final little boost to make them convert. Can y'all help me out with some reasons? Thanks.
A few reasons for choosing VFP over Access
- your expertise with VFP will mean a quicker rewrite than with Access
- VFP can more easily scale to 100's of users with gigs of data
- VFP has a good OOP implementation which will help to create the application more rapidly, with fewer bugs and that is easier to maintain
- VFP can scale more cheaply than Access since the need to implement a back-end database will come later or not at all
