But you may have the option of splitting this table into, say, 9 x 1Gb tables. In this case, your SELECT statements would be quite a bit more complex, but they would work. Same thing with just about everything else you want to do. Val Matison had an article in a FoxPro Advisor earlier this year (I think) about just this type of thing. It made for good reading. Of course, I'm not saying that this this the best option. I'm just saying that it is another option you might want to consider. I'd likely also go for the back-end when considering tables this size. /Paul
