I am looking for a good terminal emulation package that supports program control. The project involves 'wrappering' an existing CICS application and my plan is to create a virtual operator to interact with the original system and present a consistent front end with the new VFP functionality we created. I would prefer not to invent all the stuff necessary to extablish the connection but haven't found an program (from VFP) controlable interface like RUMBA would appear to a Human operator. So I guess what I would wish for is a OCX that handles the CICS side, provides a "KEYBOARD" and "STRING REPRESENTATION OF THE SCREEN" method/property sets plus a connect/disconnect method. That way I can drive the old app (granted a lot of position/value mapping and sequence control) and make the returned info 'merge' into the VFP DBC's we created for the new capabilites. Any ideas/search strategies.
