Hi Walter,

Before you connect anything to those ports or the EKG machine to a computer, MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE STANDARD RS-232 ports (check with the manufacturer).

Since this equipment is quite expensive, I'm pretty sure that the manufacturer designed it so that they have to stay involved (and charge an arm and a leg) even to do simple tricks like saving data to another device.

Pretty much like those machines used in stores to charge your credit card. They aren't but a 386 (or smaller) cpu with a 300 baud modem and since everything's proprietary they get away by selling them for $600.

>Thanks for the reply. The 2 machines I have looked at do have com ports so my guess we can get the data via that method, unfortunately they didn't have the manuals on the machines.
