Which 3Com card is it? There was one series of cards that was thankfully short-lived that had all sorts of problems. Perhaps that's the one you have. First step is to go to 3Com's web site and DL the latest drivers that specifically list that card as ones they support. They do this all the time, come out with updated drivers that secretly drop support for an older card. Armed witht hat, wipe out any drivers Win95 has attempted to install and reboot. The card I'm thinking about requires you to NOT let Windows load the driver when it autodetects the card on the next boot, you must use the setup routine on the 3Com driver disk to properly install it.
