This may be a long shot, but did you develop your application on Drive D? If so, do you run any type of utility/program to remove any references to the D: drive in the EXE file. There are a number of threads about removing the development drive from a compiled EXE before distribution. The most common problem is a drive error during execution, if the development drive letter happens to match a user's CD-ROM drive.
