It is absolutely not true that you cannot search.

Open 2 browsers, each logged into the UT. In one, press the search button, put in what you are searching for and wait for it to retrieve. SCROLL DOWN past the advertising and look at the listed links. As a basic member you cannot directly access these links, but now go to your other browser and use the calendar button in the upper left pane and navigate to the day you want and find the message.

My husband has a basic membership to access the Lunux forum and I have just now verified that this method, which I used while I was getting my $$ together for a paid membership, does in fact work.

About my code, I forgot one paren. When you are better at debugging you will be able to find errors like this yourself.
