I believe that VFP has major compatibility problems with NT4 and especially Windows 2000. See my message below. Its unbelievable. Microsoft wont help without charging and they cant say if there is an answer. The only glimmer of light we have so far seen is that w95 my perform better in this context, but we havent carried out enough tests.
After weeks of posting messages about VFP & Win2K on this and other boards we have finally abandoned all hope of getting w98 workstations to work with Win2K Professional or Server. Only the first w/s to start up operates at any speed - all subsequent w/s grind very slowly.
Our answer has been to switch 3 installations to running w98 on the server!!!!!
Any comments anyone?
