Hello Jimmy
Its a very long time since I used Foxbase and I do not recall the exact problem you are having.
However here's a couple of questions and some ideas.
Are you running these applications full screen, windowed or a mixture of the 2. Foxbase sometimes has strange characteristics when running windowed.
If running windowed have you tried changing the screen sizes/Font Types avaialble from the DOS window (You may have to do this from the PIF file before hand if things start crashing).
Also you do not mention where the Foxbase runtime is located. If you have a copy of foxbase on each machine then you will have a different resource file and config.fb to contend with. This would be an obvious place to start.
I can not sure exactly how Foxbase dealt with memory but I seem to remember that to run properly it was neccesary to set the correct type of memory from the windows PIF file. This would be a strong contender for your speed problems.
I am trying to remember if FoxPro version 1 could run Foxbase code. At the very least probably it had converter for it. So perhaps you could explore that approach if all else fails.
Good Luck
>Hi,
>We have an app. in Foxbase.
>The dbf are on a shared directory (computer1.)
>The prg are on a shared subdirectory (computer1/fox).
>every computer has a connection with these dir. (f:\)
>We have a st.bat file={ mfoxplus apmenu }
>All the set paths on each computer (see DOS-commands) have f:\fox.
>now the problem.
>On computer1,computer3 this is working fast, but on computer2,computer4 not. I've noticed that on these computer the cursor as at the end of a get-area, and they have no speed.
