Check the KB, there is a known issue that can cause dangling datasessions, but I don't recall the exact details of the root problem is. I'm not even sure what to tell you to search for. I'd try "unknown and data and vfoxwin"

Today I was struggling (yep, can not find a better word :)) with one of my old project and first time noticed, that its form creates 2 private DS (2 - called unknown and 3 - called by name of the form). Form releases just fine, but has some other problems, which I have to chase down.
