Hi Barbara,

I've heard a prediction that progress in the IT field will come to a halt due to a lack of available three-letter acronyms. but now I am beginning to see the four-lette variety, which may go a long way towards extending the road to progress.

Now, it didn't take me too long to figure out that PITA did not refer to a kind of bread, but I guess rather something somewaht opposite to that.

I am however stuck on SWAG, but that doesn't worry me too much. Anyway, tnx for trying to help, I realize I still have something to learn about VFP. But the tip from Ed Rauh - to use a from & grid instead of brose realy did the trick, with no codepage problems. Why i got them in the first placd I don't understand, but don't care to worry abut that.

The reason I am writing is that I think I should finish the Julius Paltiel business.

He was the owner of a men's clothes store where I used to shop when I was living in Trondheim as a young man. I had no idea then about his warime history,
but since then he has appeared on national TV on a number of occations when various subjects relating to him & his people's wartime encounter with Hitlers boys have been the issue.

He must be rather an old man by now, but I think he may still be alive, and I have always found him a very likeable person. How and why he survived I don't know.

That's about all,

regards,

Rolf Aalberg
