>I'm wondering if MSDE for Visual Studio would be a viable and legal solution. It is basically SQL Server. It is free and is freely distributable with VFP applications. It is only licensed for 5 users, but Web Connection typically uses only 2 concurrent instances and never more than 5. I wonder if Microsoft has something in the license that would restrict it from being used with a web server application?

However, anything that can be used to remotely administer SQL Server could perhaps be used with MSDE. I've just started using MSDE for development of apps that will be used with SQL Server as the backend
>and it works well for that. Microsoft does provide some database management tools for MSDE to be used during development. You can also do quite a bit through the Visual Studio/Visual Interdev IDE.
Hey, of course! It would be perfect. But, we all are used to M$FT by now, so I think there is something in the license. Given the access methodolgy WWWC uses we are only using less than 5 concurrent connections to the database .....How can I check for sure?
Thanks!
