Probably a problem with your ffconfig program. Are you using FF6 or a patch to fun ff5 under vfp6? Actually, I got a slightly different error message about excel -- mine just said "...~ FF required excel 5.0 or higher ..." and I fixed that by switching to a newer version of ffconfig. Maybe you do have a registry issue and will have to reinstall excel. I would try a new ffconfig first, hopefully someone from Fxofire will jump into to help before you reinstall excel.

...Thanks for the help, unfortunately when I run the the Query with the Output Type set to 'Launch Pivot Table' I get a message saying 'Excel could not be found on the path specified in the Windows registry. Output to Excel cancelled. Please make sure you have a working version of Excel 5.0 or later installed.'. I have Excel 2000 installed on my PC. Do I need to tweak FoxFire to recognise that Excel is installed?...
