>Sorry Microsoft you hav a can of worms here - how about about a bit of investigation or are you trying to kill off VFP by making it incompatible with Windows 2000?

Colin,
As Erik has stated from his experience there are many applications that don't have a problem with Win2K. I would, however, like to point out something different.
This statement has zero factual basis. Win2K was developed completely independently of VFP. It has been documented that when faced with a decision betwween backward compatibility and stability, the Win2K team chose the latter. In fact, some applications that ran fine on previous versions the Win32 platform, won't even install under Win2K because they don't follow the documented procedures for things like version checking of the OS as outlined in the Platform SDK. So if there is a problem with VFP and Win2K, it is far less serious than some other applications have.
It should also noted that the release of VFP 6.0 far pre-dated the release of even the first release candidate beta of Win2K. This being the case, how could Microsoft be accused of "...trying to kill off VFP by making it incompatible with Windows 2000?" Problems of this nature, provided they are replicatable, will undoubtedly be documented in the MS KB. The key word here is "replicatable", if it cannot be replicated by MS, then they have no way of addressing the problem.
Therefore, I would suggest that the problem, along with all the details be reported to Microsoft.
George
