If I return .F. from the control, it doesn't show up on the form. So there's just a blank spot there. Why is that preferable to a placeholder saying there's something wrong with the control?

As to what the form does, I have no control over that.

>You have to RETURN .F. conditionally in the controls, init(), right? Well, developer friendly (IMO) would be having the form check all teh conditions, and then proceeding if you succeed, as opposed to aborting several controls and proceeding.
