Hi Rex,

Starting the find form shouldn't be too hard. I think you can call the form from postinithook.

I have a modified version of cfindform that does what you need and instead of updating properties in oCallingForm, it returns the IID of the record found, so you can do something like:

oIID = doform( "myfindform")

Ah, and it also asks if you want to add a record in case none was found.
