Hi Fernando,

1. SQL statements are just about the same.
2. The same database design theories apply.
3. Stored procedure code in SQL Server is T-SQL, which is not all that different from xBase code.

You shouldn't find it all that difficult to use when designing and implementing databases. Administering it is a different issue :-)

I would advise purchasing "Inside Microsoft SQL Server 7.0", Microsoft Press, ISBN 0-7356-0517-3. It's a great book for learning SQL Server that assumes you know something about databases.
