By 'tons of apps' I _meant_ tons of VFP apps. If your assertions were 'the truth' then they would be easily replicable. Since I have apps that work fine with similar configuration, your problem is not universally replicable, or you have not posted enought details to replicate it.

I don't want you to shut up, only to acknowledge that not everyone is having your problem, so the problem is not as clear cut as you think.
