>>>- I have observed that storing the pictures in the FPT you have extra bytes. I can't remember is this was for JPEG or bitmap, but I got more or less a 10% percent more.

>Eps! yo have said that you was agree to store pictures in general fields...
I agree to store them in general fields
only when no other ways to do something. Because I know now how to print bitmaps using path in field, I don't will not use general field to store bitmaps.
>>>- I wanna keep away from FPT all the data I don't really need there, and if this gaves me a table with no FPT. hurra! You should know of many FPT going corrupted.

>>VFP tables structure reliable enough to store large data in FPT. I never had situations when I need to recover memo data. However, I run 'PACK' each night, maybe that is a clue? ;)

>Well, maybe, in my company systems I can't do the PACK, only twice per year.
Well, you want to say that database used at night hours too? We use nightly process that shutdowns any client applications that left by users opened and than pack/reindex...

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
