You are right, it is set in stone. I'm actually throwing the query at a remote database. Wanted to get it all in one, but ended up taking a different view of the matter.
I'm now selecting the green record into a cursor, and then selecting the records after the date and time of the green record. (I do > date or =date and time >= time. to get around the problem andrew brought up.)
