If you want your users to be able to change the Windows default printer (for exampl via the Settings->Printers dialog) and have all your VFP reports go there automatically, then just put a SET PRINTER TO DEFAULT before each REPORT FORM TO PRINTER command. As an alternative, you could let your users change the VFP default printer from within your app by providing a menu item that does a SET PRINTER TO NAME SYS(1037). The default VFP printer determines where a report gets printed, and it can be--but does not have to be--the same as the Windows default printer. Does this address your concern?

>I give the user the ability to modify several reports. They usually store the default printer on most reports. If that printer goes out of commission or changes then they would have to go back into all of the reports and select the new printer that will replace it. In FPW, because they could select and store the default printer in the page setup (report layout), all they had to do was change the default printer in windows and the reports would go to the new printer.
