Hi Doug,
I finally surrendered and just recreated the form (that was hosting the query object) from scratch...everything now works fine. (Problem wasn't the query object but something in the form itself.)
The form apparently had some hiccups in it... Scary thing is that I still don't know what was causing the anomaly originally, so I don't know how to prevent it in the future. (I never received any indications that there was a problem with the form, other than the query object locking up, and then only when the user clicked the VALUES button.) Very strange indeed!
Since the problem was the form and definitely NOT SFQuery, I apologize for the inconvenience!
