I came to VFP3 from Clipper also, and still (5 years later?) regret losing some of the array handling techniques. Are you in the awkward position of maintaining legacy Clipper while doing new work in VFP? That's enough to make anyone schizophrenic :-))

>Thanks for the reply. I knew about the save to and restore from, I just had brain freeze. And I agree that a table is more stable than memory files. Actually, the hardest part of learning VFP6 is unlearning Clipper and it's modal programming. I keep having to think if something is the same as Clipper or different. Plus, I have quite a few functions that I have written and complied into a library that I linked into my apps. Do any of those on this list share VFP6 functions in a forum of some kind?
