To finalize in case if someone else encounters this , the problem was due to some peculiarities of my PC. For some reason environmental variable TEMP=%SystemDrive%\temp ( NT 4.0 box ) created problems for Foxpro in terms of temporary files creation. Funnily Select into cursor was okay , Beautify didn't do anything without complaint ; Create Form resulted in error. Changing TEMP to different location solved the problem ,though didn't explain it. At least beautification is possible again.
