To add to what Larry said, if you are getting this error on your development machine, it could be due to a bug in many MS products that removes your ActiveX license keys when they are uninstalled. You can fix this with a download from here in the files section called "foxreg". It's a simple reg file that restores the appropriate license for the controls that ship with VFP.
